Incident Investigation, Tracking & Reporting

Investigate, Track, and Report

Achieve Safety Excellence through incident avoidance by tracking and reporting on leading indicators. This when used effectively can help to improve your safety culture.

The goal of every leading safety program is creating a culture of safety that keeps the organization and its employees free from incidents. However, when they do occur, Xilo is right there to help.

Through malleable forms that meet legislative and regulatory requirements, Xilo empowers organizations toward compliancy with OSHA, COHS, and RIDDOR. Companies capture more than just incident reporting as Xilo leads the employees toward safety excellence through effective incident management. By allowing you to investigate, track and report incidents, near misses, and medical aids, you can better avoid future incidents.

While incidents may happen, near misses and medical aids are leading indicators that let you identify problem areas, address the safety concerns and meet your goal of a 100% incident-free workplace.

Think Incident-free, Think Xilo.

Occupational hearing loss is one of the leading causes of work-related disorders. Audiometric testing of workers’ hearing is important to the success of a noise management program since it is the only way to actually determine if occupational hearing loss is being prevented by noise management control measures.

Audiometric testing helps to:

  • establish a baseline;
  • identify whether employees have suffered hearing loss and;
  • determine if noise in the workplace might be contributing to hearing loss.

Additional tests are required 12 months after the baseline test and every two years thereafter. These subsequent tests should be scheduled at the end of or well into the work shift so that temporary changes in hearing can be noted. The results can then be compared with the baseline audiogram to check for changes in hearing sensitivity, identify a temporary hearing loss before it becomes permanent, and allow corrective control measures to be implemented. It is recommended that the baseline audiogram is conducted in a noise free environment when the worker has been away from noise for 14 hours, including noise exposure away from work (i.e., concerts, working with power tools, hunting, etc.).

Xilo helps notify (through reminders) when audiometric testing is due and document the baseline and subsequent results. Track and review trends on each individual.
